Carpet Cleaning - Clean carpets can refresh your entire home. Apart from keeping your feet and the house warm the main purpose of a carpet is to hold dirt. Unfortunately not only is this unhygienic but it also degrades the fibres of most carpets as well. If done correctly a good carpet clean will not only improve the hygiene of your home but it will also extend the life of your carpet. However, be very aware that if done badly your carpet can be destroyed overnight! At Beehive we believe that the best method is a wet clean with a suction dry. Why? Well firstly water is the best cleaning solvent known to man. By using predominantly water we can minimise the use of cleaning solutions. Not only is this better for the environment but it also means that your carpets are cleaner for longer. The whole purpose of detergent is to attract dirt. Therefore if too much is used or no water is involved in the cleaning process then there will be residual cleaning solution left within your carpet. This residue then attracts more dirt to it, very quickly and before you know it your carpet will be as filthy as it was prior to cleaning. Equally if a wet clean is applied but the moisture not removed then you again risk harming your carpet. Your carpet should be dry within a couple of hours not days.
